Daily Prayer: Help Me to Simply Pray

Dear Lord,

I know that I can come to you at anytime in prayer. That I can share my heart and that you hear me. And yet so often I choose to go first to other things or I see prayer as a practice that has to be perfect or complicated to be effective.

I pray Lord that you would stir my heart to pray when good things happen this week. When trials and hardships come please stir my heart to prayer. When I am simply waiting for an appointment or while driving in the car help me to whisper my heart to you.

I pray that I would come to you in simple prayer this week so that I can grow in communion with you Lord.
