Dear Lord,
I come to you today Father knowing that you alone are good and worthy of my affection. So often I know and speak these words but I look to other things for my worth and happiness. I look to the things I can see and feel and touch. But they are but a shadow of all the beauty and splendor that you are. They won’t last but your unchanging nature continues forever.
You are fully satisfying. The deeper I go in knowing you the more I am truly filled up. I pray today that I would rest in you alone as the source of my hope and security. As the first and most important focus of my affection.
