Daily: My Heart is Prone to Worry

Dear Lord,

My heart is prone to anxiousness. It’s prone to worry and fret about the circumstances that bombard me each hour of the day. Often without knowing it I’ve strayed into anxious thoughts about the past or future.

But, both the past and future are NOT where you have placed me right now.

You’ve placed me in the present moment. The right here and now. And in this moment you’ve given me so many good things. Good things that are beyond what I deserve. Every good and perfect gift I have is from you. I pray that today you would bring an overwhelming gratefulness to my heart despite the circumstances of the day and I would know that you care for me in every way.
